The project, located at 6711 Sepulveda Boulevard, will consist of an eight-story building featuring 180 apartments in addition to amenities and 210 parking spaces. Plans call for a mix of studio, one-, and two-bedroom dwellings, of which 15 would be reserved as affordable housing at the very low-income level.
TCA Architects is designing the Hanover Sepulveda apartments, which will consist of five levels of wood-frame construction above a three-level concrete podium. Exterior finishes will include plaster, wood paneling, and tile veneer. The architect's website describes the building as being shaped by its linear project site, which offers a narrow street frontage and "extreme" topography.
Construction of Hanover Sepulveda is anticipated to occur over approximately 24 months, placing its expected completion date in 2021.
Immediately north of the project side, developer Sandstone Properties has obtained entitlements for the construction of a similar multifamily residential complex.
Hanover is also pursuing a similar development featuring ground-floor retail space on Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood.
