Located on the east side of Palos Verdes Street between 5th and 6th Streets, the seven-story building features 375 studio, one-, two-, three-, and four-bedroom apartments atop 5,000 square feet of ground-floor retail space.
The residential units will range between 547 and 2,220 square feet in size. Rents will begin at $2,085 per month for a studio one and range as high as $5,590 for a larger four-bedroom dwelling.
MVE + Partners designed 550 Harborfront which will include common amenities such as a pool deck, a sky lounge, three courtyards, a fitness center, and a golf simulator.
Completion is anticipated this year.
The 550 Harborfront apartments join a slew of similar mixed-use buildings planned for Downtown San Pedro, including an eight-story complex slated for an adjacent property at 5th Street and Harbor Boulevard.
Holland Partner Group, based out of Washington State, is also in the midst of construction on a similar mixed-use development in Downtown Long Beach.
